Lots going on:

Brazil 2010 I will be doing a residency in Salvador, Bahia July 23-August 24. My visit will include teaching and performance at the federal university UFBA, a week long exchange with Olodum (Paul Simon, Michael Jackson) AND a solo appearance at the international percussion festival "Festival de Percussão" hosted at UFBA. This trip is sponsored by the PARTNERS of the AMERICAS program and I will be hosted by Jorge Sacramento, professor of percussion at UFBA. I will be creating a blog with a link from this site.

MARASSA DUO we have begun the process of recording the next MARASSA DUO CD! It will be produced by good friend and percussionist extraordinaire/ recording guru RAY DILLARD. Quite a pleasure working with such a master. We recently finished a short run out in Ontario, Canada. Next step is setting recording dates and keep plugging along. Join us on facebook!

PANacea back in actiion and gigging throughout summer. Hope to have a fairly busy fall and we are already starting to get interest for next summer.

CONGA DRUMMING MASTER STUDIES is making progress. This new book is a collection of "chop builders" for congueros of all levels. It will be published by MEL BAY. Tentative release date early 2011.

Sheena 1986 - 2007

Sheena passed on February 25, 2007 at approximately 9am at the age of 20.
She was not in any pain and left us in a most brave and dignified manner.
Sheena was the ultimate and most faithful companion. Her spirit and memory will live forever.
We love you and miss you.
