Pioneros del Ritmo

Pioneros del Ritmo
Latin Jazz Dance Band

Due to my relocation to Philly this group is currently on hiatus. Some dates are pending and possible reformation is looming. If you are interested in booking the band please contact me for further info. Thanks.
James Armstrong, bandleader

A sextet comprised of the finest jazz musicians in the Finger Lakes area, Pioneros del Ritmo has become one of the most popular and sought after latin jazz dance bands in Central New York, and for good reason. Sometimes coined as a "roadhouse" latin party band, their extensive repertoire parallels the old school salsa styles in the tradition of Tito Puente, Cal Tjader, Poncho Sanchez, and more. The rhythmic excitement, captivating solos, and the overall electricity Pioneros de Ritmo creates at each performance is sure to make everyone move!

Pioneros del Ritmo has been featured artists at the Binghamton New York Latin Jazz Festival, The Cornell University Summer Concert Series, Ithaca Festival, Ithaca Commons Summer Concert Series, and continues to maintain an active performance schedule throughout the region. For booking information and availability please contact us via email.

We hope to share our exciting music with you in the near future!!
