Pioneros del Ritmo

PIONEROS
Latin Jazz Dance Band

PIONEROS is back!!!!

A sextet comprised of the finest jazz musicians in Central PA, PIONEROS (aka Pioneros del Ritmo) is becoming one of the most popular and sought after latin jazz dance bands in the northeast region, and for good reason. Often coined a "roadhouse" latin party band, their extensive repertoire parallels the old school salsa styles in the tradition of Tito Puente, Cal Tjader, Poncho Sanchez, and more. The rhythmic excitement, captivating solos, and the overall electricity PIONEROS creates at each performance is sure to make everyone move!

Under the musical direction of percussionist James Armstrong, the former Pioneros del Ritmo (based in Central NY) was featured at the Binghamton New York Latin Jazz Festival, The Cornell University Summer Concert Series, Ithaca Festival, the Ithaca Commons Summer Concert Series, and a favorite at many latin dance clubs. The new line up is nothing short of stellar and continues in the old bands footsteps. Same charts, same energy, same excitement...new players! A perfect addition to any event: concert series, parties, weddings, you name it! For booking information and availability please contact us via email.

We hope to share our exciting music with you in the near future!!
